Amrek Wilson

Amrek Wilson might be young, but he’s not easing into this. Coming out of Cyril, Oklahoma, he’s stepping into country music with a voice that already feels seasoned and a style that leans into the roots of the genre without trying to modernize it beyond recognition.

He’s built early momentum the right way. Singing anywhere he can, putting himself in front of crowds, and letting the music speak before anything else does. That approach has already taken him further than most artists his age, earning recognition on both state and national stages and putting him in rooms with performers twice his experience.

Amrek recently earned 1st place honors for both New Country Male Artist and New Country Songwriter through the Oklahoma Singer-Songwriter Association, was the state winner for the Oklahoma Federation of Music Clubs, and  won both the Male Vocalist of the Year and Male Entertainer of the Year for the North American Country Music International Association in the youth division. 

These are moments that most artists spend years working toward, from major competition wins to performing in front of large crowds across Oklahoma. And he’s still early in the process, still building, still figuring out exactly how far this can go.

Amrek Wilson is part of the next wave coming out of Oklahoma, and he’s doing it with a sound that stays true to country at its core.
