Ross Clayton’s story doesn’t start in Nashville. It starts in Evanston, Illinois, and eventually landed him in McLoud, Oklahoma.
A lot of people were introduced to him on The Voice, where his performance turned all four chairs and put him on Team Niall. The moment got attention, but it was his consistency that carried through. The kind of voice that doesn’t need much to hold a room.
Since then, he’s been back on stage across Oklahoma and the surrounding region, sharing bills with Red Dirt mainstays like Stoney LaRue and Jason Boland & The Stragglers, along with newer acts like The Droptines. Recently, he shared the stage with Austin Dixon at the Ritz in Shawnee. He’s building this the right way, one show at a time, in the same scenes that helped shape the sound he fits into now.
