A native of Marlow, Oklahoma with deep Stillwater roots, Jack Tidwell formed Wildhorse Revenant in 2017 — the same year he hit the road with the Chance Anderson Band, selling merch across Oklahoma and Texas. What began as a behind-the-scenes gig soon evolved into a tour manager role, and by 2019, Tidwell was balancing both jobs while releasing his own music under Wildhorse Revenant.
In 2020, Tidwell released the band’s debut album Star 46, setting the stage for a busy year that would soon shift directions. By early 2021, he released his first self-titled single, “I Am an Outlaw,” to the Texas Country and Americana radio charts. His focus turned to songwriting, leading to collaborations in Nashville with artists like Bailey Rae, Hunter Jordan, and Jack Settle.
In 2022, Tidwell launched Jack Tidwell & The Lockbreakers, a new project that would take him across the region while also managing tours for Gannon Fremin and CCREV. The following year, he released the Outlaw Americana EP, recorded with producer Chad Mauldin in Gladewater, Texas.
After spending much of 2025 on the road and in the studio, Jack Tidwell & The Lockbreakers released their full-length album Come Here To Me in October 2025 — a testament to Tidwell’s grit, storytelling, and evolving sound in the Red Dirt and Americana scenes.
